If it feels wrong, it probably is. Throughout life there are all kinds of things we’re happy to do the hard yards for because we really value what sits on the other side. Stop and think about what you haven’t minded working hard for, enduring the boring or embarrassing bits for. Don’t dismiss anything as you think it through, start small if you like - maybe it’s getting to the top level of a video game, or perfecting your wheel pose at yoga. Write a list, get in touch with the feeling you had when you persisted. How is it different (is it different?) to the thing that is causing you frustration right now. Do you want the reward at the end of this labour?
